Yoga Therapy Programs

Our owner and Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), Alyssa, will work with you to figure out what’s been holding you back, physically, energetically and emotionally, and help you find joy and love for yourself again. Through the combination of multiple one-on-one yoga therapy sessions with Alyssa integrated with digestive health support and energy therapy, you’ll work together to peel back the layers and address the root issues for your chronic pain, anxiety, burnout, and more.

In this program, you’ll work with a senior teacher trained in the practices of therapeutic yoga, to address your physical pain, neurological issues, major illness or needs to assist in healthy aging. Through the combination of multiple one-on-one yoga sessions integrated with massage therapy or Thai yoga massage, you will work together with the natural capacity of the body to optimize well-being. If you’re ready to dive in, get more guidance and address the issues you’re facing, this program is for you.

I first went to see Alyssa for chronic lower back pain and because my legs had started to ache as well. I had no idea what to expect. I had tried several different yoga classes over the years with mixed results. After just one private session with Alyssa I started feeling better! She showed by how to correct my posture and stretch my legs without increasing the pain in my back. I was shocked! Alyssa also created a personalized wellness plan that included massage, yoga, and deep breathing techniques. I continued to experience positive results and have been pain free for several months. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Alyssa.

What is Yoga Therapy?

Although all yoga is potentially therapeutic and healing, yoga therapy is the specific application of yogic tools - postures/exercises, breathwork, meditation techniques, and more - to address an individual's physical, mental, and emotional needs. Many people first learn about yoga through its physical practices, but a common misconception is that the discipline is all about stretching or movement. In fact, yoga therapy can help people who can't move at all, as well as active individuals!

The yogic model of health is unique because it addresses every aspect of life rather than considering each body part of system separately.

Yoga therapy is a safe way of working with the natural capacity of your body and mind to optimize well-being. This approach can help with a range of concerns:

  • Pain, including low-back pain, arthritis, PMS, and other types of chronic pain such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome

  • Neurologic issues and complications of stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease, and traumatic brain injury (TBI)

  • Mental health, including concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, insomnia, and others

  • Major illness like diabetes, cancer, and heart disease

  • Healthy aging, including osteoporosis and fall prevention

Yoga therapy can also support people who are dealing with stress, and those who simply want to increase their well-being and overall health.
