Acupuncture is unfamiliar to many people, and sometimes even scary to those who only know of acupuncture as a therapy where needles are inserted into the skin. To learn a little about acupuncture, take a few minutes to watch these videos. Bravo Mobile Chiropractic is proud to offer AcuGraph technology to objectively assess our acupuncture patients.
TRIGGER POINT THERAPY
Niel Asher Technique is used for trigger point therapy.
SpiderTech brand kinesio tape is available for application during appointments or for purchase for later application.
Gua sha is a scraping technique used on soft tissue to promote healing in a localized area.
About Dr. Kristen Bravo
Dr. Kristen Bravo attended Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida and completed the Doctor of Chiropractic program in 2009. While she was a chiropractic student, she became fascinated with acupuncture and obtained her acupuncture certification through the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture in 2010.
In 2014, she became the mother of a beautiful baby girl and overcame postpartum depression and anxiety. In 2016, she and her husband were blessed with a little boy. As a mother of two young children and a business owner, Dr. Bravo saw a need to make receiving chiropractic care and acupuncture more convenient for pregnant women, mothers, and busy professionals. She started her house call practice, Bravo Mobile Chiropractic, in 2016 and currently enjoys treating patients in the comfort of their own home or workplace and at Embarque in south Broad Ripple. Dr. Bravo enjoys treating all of her patients but has a special interest in treating pregnant and postpartum women. She is Webster Technique certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and her postpartum experience has inspired her to raise awareness about perinatal mood disorders and empower women to seek treatment through speaking.
Dr. Bravo lives in Westfield with her husband, two children, and their Pomeranian. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to podcasts, Indiana summers, and continuing to learn new techniques to help her patients.
